Monica Chilton (Pat/Girl’s Voice)
Monica is excited to make her debut with Redwood Theatre. She was last seen as Joann in the newly formed Northshore Players’ production of Reunited. Favorite roles include Myrtle Mae in Harvey, Eileen in Wonderful Town, and the title role in Lady Audley’s Secret. A classically trained singer, Monica has also appeared in lyric theatre productions with the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Bellevue Opera, and Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theatre.
Serena DeMello (Lucy)
Serena is 9 years old and a 4th grader at Ardmore Elementary. She loves ballet, tap dancing, hip-hop, acting and modeling. She started taking acting classes with the Seattle Children’s Theatre at age 6 and since then has performed at the Bellevue Youth Theatre and some independent Short and Feature Movies as well as TV commercials. Serena is very excited to be a part of a Redwood Theatre Production for the first time!
Iris M. Elton (Marie)
Iris is “tres” happy to be joining her second production with Redwood Theatre. Most recently she was in the ensemble of Illyria in the 2009 season. Also, Iris has worked with Showtunes Produtions, Village Theatre, and various community theatre projects in both New York City and Seattle. Thank you again for the opportunity, ShawnJ!
Kelley Faulkner (Elaine)
Kelley is grateful to the Redwood Theatre for the chance to play a fantasy dame in the 7 Year Itch! It is a fun departure from her day-time roles (as a social worker and yoga teacher in Seattle) and it playfully shines a light on the crazy-making of the monkey mind. Kelley studied acting at the University of Washington, Freehold Theatre, and the Atlantic Acting School in NYC, and has worked with the Edge Theatre Ensemble and Live Girls! Theater in Seattle.
Tom Fraser (Dr. Brubaker)
After nearly 28 years of living in Seattle, Tom is happy to make his Eastside acting debut at the Redwood Theatre. West of the “Lake”, he’s been seen on stage at Theater Schmeater, Seattle Public Theater, Theater Babylon, ReAct Theater, STP and Theater Under the Influence. He’d vigorously like to thank this talented and sexy cast and crew for being so great to work with and would feel dangerously guilty if he didn’t also thank his brilliant director for shrewdly casting him as Dr. Brubaker.
Dan Jordan (Richard’s Voice)
Dan is excited to be back on stage and pleased that it is with Redwood Theatre. His last theatrical experience was at Kirkland Performance Center in Hello, Dolly! Dan’s day job is teaching 2nd grade at Olympic View Elementary in Seattle where he performs daily for twenty-five amazing kids. He’d like to thank ShawnJ for this incredible opportunity.
Jenni Monahan (Miss Morris)
This is Jenni’s first play with Redwood Theatre, and she is extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity to participate with such a wonderful cast and crew. She has been acting for over fifteen years, and in May of 2009 received a B.A in Communications with a concentration in Theatre Arts from Northwest University. She is looking forward to many more theatre experiences in the Puget Sound region, as the theatre is one of her main passions in life.
Amanda Moniz-Falcone (Helen)
Amanda was last seen at Redwood Theatre as Olivia in their production of Illyria. Favorite roles include Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding (Tina), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Once Upon A Mattress (Princess Winnifred), and The Producers (Hold-Me-Touch-Me). Tours include Jack Sprat World Tour and Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding. Amanda is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. She is a proud founding member of Third Eye Theatre Company, a non-profit-theatre group located in NYC. Much love to her amazing husband, Tom (whom she has been married to for 7 years!) and a special thanks to all of you who come out to support live theatre.
Sean O’Bannon (Richard)
Sean is happy to be performing for the first time at Redwood Theatre. He was last seen in Second Story Rep.’s Christmas Cabaret. He has performed at several theatres around town including ReAct, Arts West and Village Theatre. Some of his favorite shows include Joseph, The Normal Heart, Assassins, Into the Woods, School House Rock, Bye- Bye Birdie and Mame with Toni Tennille.
Jason Pead (Tom)
Jason is ecstatic about playing the part of Tom in The Seven Year Itch. A Graduate of Midland College with a B.A. in Speech/Theatre he has played multiple roles including: Petruchio, Taming of the Shrew: Captain Hook and Mr. Darling, Peter Pan: Jonathan Harker, Dracula: Jacob Marley/Bob Cratchit, The Trial of Ebeneezer Scrooge: Rudyard, The Valentine Fairy, and many others. Also pursuing Film Acting and is currently working on 3 screen plays and publishing a poetry book “Four Door Serenade”.
Kent Phillips (Radio Announcer)
Kent Phillips is a co-host of KOMO 4′s live daily talk show Northwest Afternoon. Kent has been involved in radio and TV since age 14, starting as a night host on KZAM-FM in Seattle. He worked in Spokane and Portland before finally returning to Seattle at Star 101.5 radio as a morning co-host of the Kent and Alan show in 1986. The Kent and Alan show is the longest running morning show on one station in Seattle.
Cassie Townsend (The Girl)
Cassie Townsend has performed with Redwood before as the role of Cindy in Captain Intrinsic. She is thrilled to be taking on such a prized role! This is her last production before being wed in March to her love, Mike Robles. Previous credits include Elaine in the film Auto-Focus (2002), professional wrestling with UPW, Lady Rowena in Once Upon A Mattress for Northwest Savoyards, and Annelle in Steel Magnolias for Renton Civic Theater. In October, you can see her be terrifyingly creepy at Stocker Farms Field of Screams.
ShawnJ West (Director)
ShawnJ (that’s one word, pronounced Shawnjae) returns to Redwood Theatre after directing the West Coast premiere of Illyria. ShawnJ is thrilled to be giving his take on such a classic show; crazy, wild, different and funny! His touch has been seen in Seattle area shows including Sex In Seattle: Episodes 15, 16 & 17, and ReAct’s production of WELL. He was also a co-creator for Sex In Seattle Episode 17 which premiered September 2009. As actor and performer he has been seen onstage in productions in the PNW and Northern California. Favorite parts include Belize in Angels in America: Perestroika, Gidger in The Violet Hour, and as Raul in Extremities. He has also enjoyed fun roles on the musical side of theatre in such shows as Grease, Guys and Dolls, La Cage Aux Folles, Gypsy, West Side Story, and A Chorus Line. Jen Klos (Stage Manager)
Jen is happy to be working on her first show with Redwood Theatre. She has just come from being Production Manager at SecondStory Repertory. She spent a year in California working on shows like Lobster Alice with Noah Wyle and the American Premiere of Tender with Syzygy Theatre Group. Past favorite North West shows include Woman in Black, Bat Boy: The Musical! and Souvenir at SecondStory. She looks forward to any new opportunities that present themselves.
Maayan Shuval (Assistant Stage Manager)
Maayan was a participant of the Bellevue Youth Theater for four years. She has stage managed with the Evergreen Family Theater, and ran lights and sound for a year with the Interlake High School Theater Department as well as with the Redwood Theatre’s production of Night Must Fall. She is thrilled to be working with the Redwood Theatre for the second time.
Jesse Bernoudy (Set Design)
Jesse invested all of his free time in high school to the theater, both on and off stage. Some his favorite plays included Deadly Deal, The Vampyre, and Play On. His onstage career culminated with the role of Seth Lord in The Philadelphia Story during college. Disguised as a mild manner programmer by day, he recently made his return to theater as set designer for Thunderbolts and Dunderheads with Redwood Theatre.

John Epperson (Sound Design)
John previously put his ninja-like audio skills to some good use in Redwood Theatre’s production of Thunderbolts and Dunderheads and he is glad to be asked back. Currently serving on Redwood Theatre’s Board of Directors, John is responsible for the misspellings and omissions on this website as well as Redwood Theatre’s newsletter.
Hannah Schnabel (Costume Designer)
Hannah Schnabel is a first time designer for Redwood Theatre, and hopes they ask her back again! Her designs have appeared at several Seattle theatres, including Live Girls!, the 14/48 Theatre Festival, and Balagan Theatre. Balagan Theatre is Hannah’s artistic home, where she is a company member, and the company costumer. Hannah wishes to thank Kim Dare, her synapses for firing, and her family and friends for being so sympathetic to her condition: costume fever.
Monty Taylor (Lighting Design)
Monty is lighting his first show for Redwood Theatre and his first show at all on the Eastside. He normally can be found over in Seattle where most recently he has lit Around the World in 80 Days at Taproot and Artifacts of Consequence with the Satori Group, where he is an Associate Artist. He holds a BFA in Theatre from Abilene Christian University and studied Lighting Design in the MFA program at CalArts. He is currently working on the upcoming Satori Group production of Winky, an original adaptation of the George Saunders short story, and the Cherry Orchard with Theatre 9/12. Monty is married to Seattle actress Abigail Taylor.
