Redwood Theatre is accepting submissions for its 2009-2010 season.
Directors
If you would like to be considered to direct a play or musical selected by Redwood Theatre, we encourage individuals with vision and dedication to apply. Previous directing experience is not required, must have a strong theater background.
We will also consider proposals for individuals who have a play or musical in mind. A proposal must be completed and reviewed by the Play Selection Committee.
Directors at Redwood Theatre are paid a nominal fee.
Playwrights
Do you have a play or musical you would like us to consider? Let us know, we’ll be happy to consider it.
Requirements
Due to the limitations of our space, plays and musicals with minimal staging and lighting requirements are preferred.
Include royalty information if you are submitting your play or musical.
Prepare a Statement of Intent explaining why we should hire you as a director and/or produce your suggestion.
Submit your resume and statement of intent to Roy Arauz at vice-president[at]redwoodtheatre.org. We will look at play content and the season as a whole when selecting the productions for our upcoming season. Placing a submission does not guarantee that your play will be produced. You will receive a Proposal Package if you are a director suggesting a play.
Deadlines
Directors: Please submit your resume by December 19, 2008
Playwrights: Please submit your play/musical by December 19, 2008
Proposal requests: Please request the Proposal Package by December 12, 2008. Proposal packages will be due to Redwood Theatre no later than January 2, 2008.
